Cinque Terre are five tiny villages (Monterosso, Vernazza, Manarola, Corniglia, Riomaggiore) on the cliffs of the Ligurian coast not far from Tuscany. The views are spectacular making these beautiful seaside villages a superb location for a wedding ceremony!
A a civil wedding can be performed in either Vernazza or Riomaggiore with spectacular wedding halls in either village. The wedding ceremony can be personlised with your own vows, religious readings and poems.
Catholic weddings are not permitted for non residents, although symbolic ceremonies can be organised in many beautiful outdoor locations of Cinqueterre. You may also have the option to get legally married first, in one of the picturesque local town halls, followed by a romantic blessing or symbolic wedding ceremony afterwards.
Civil weddings in Vernazza (outdoor wedding ceremony)
Civil ceremonies in the town hall of Vernazza are performed in a former Convent in the town centre, with a picturesque bell tower and a medieval cloister. This wedding location is on the highest part of town and boasts incredible views of the village and sea. The interior contains preserved icons of Saints and Frescoes.
